Local parents and daycares are bracing for the effects of Wednesday’s teacher strike.

That’s what the Supreme Court of Canada will begin to wrestle with today in the case of a Toronto woman who refuses to let her husband die.

A new immigration program aimed at getting skilled workers into Canada faster will start on Jan. 2.
