Quinte goes bridal

BELLEVILLE – Something borrowed, something blue, something old and something new were at the front of minds at the Quinte Bridal Show last weekend.

The show was bustling, with 30 vendors on hand for brides to talk to and get ideas and information from. There was also a fashion show hosted by Runway Bridal boutique from downtown Belleville.

“It’s really nice to see a lot of vendors in the area and what this area has to offer,” said bride-to-be Keshia Cassibo. “I didn’t think there were this many choices out here.”

There were vendors for dresses, stationery, D.J.s, photographers, caterers, venues and more.

Amber Hardy, owner of Exclusive Invites in Belleville and one of the organizers of the bridal show, said being a vendor gives her the chance to meet other professionals in the field as well as helping brides explore their options.

Bride-to-be Alicia Fischer said the vendors had a lot of good tips that went with the theme of her wedding that she will be able to consider and use when her big day comes in December 2014.

For Runway Bridal owner and show organizer Brooke Miller, things were a little chaotic as she ran her booth and prepared for the fashion show.

“I have some great volunteers and helpers back there,” said Miller. “I just know that I can leave them and everything will be good.”

Brides enjoyed the hour-long fashion show and were provided with a list of the dresses in the show so they would be able to keep track of their favourite designs.
