Loyalist Night with the Bulls benefits college

BELLEVILLE – Loyalist students had the chance to watch the Belleville Bulls defeat the Oshawa Generals on Wednesday night.

The Bulls partnered with Loyalist’s sports and entertainment sales and marketing post-graduate program to raise money for the program and to recognize the college through Loyalist Night, explained Matthew Reid, a student and one of the organizers.

“The point of Loyalist Night is to celebrate Loyalist College, all it’s done in the community, as well as its growth through the years,” said Reid.

Students like Lillian Ketchum, who is in the third year of the child and youth worker program and who attended the game, said that the college should continue to organize events like this within the community.

“It gets everyone out and about in the community and getting involved with everything. I think it’s a really good idea, for sure,” Ketchum said.

The Bulls beat the Generals 3-2.
