Fall festival to take over downtown

BELLEVILLE – The Flavours of Fall Festival is taking place in downtown Belleville this Saturday.

There will be a main stage with multiple music acts, giveaways, a charity barbecue, pumpkin carving, a pie-eating contest, a chili cookoff, pony rides and more free activities for the whole family.

The event will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Some streets around Front Street will be closed for the event, according to Susan Walsh, events co-ordinator for the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.

Events and parking are both free. There will be charge, however, for some food items.

“There’s not much that we don’t have at the event … We’re hoping that if it (rains) we will keep everything going as much as we possibly can,” Walsh said.

QNet News will be covering Flavours of Fall. For more information on the event, click here.
