Prince Edward County resolves online voting issue

  • October 24, 2014 at 8:24 am

By Cam Kennedy

BELLEVILLE  – Prince Edward County has announced that an updated link and extended registration are available for online voters in the upcoming municipal election.

This comes after a problem with the original online voting link resulted in online voters not being able to cast their ballots.

Dominion Voting, a Denver, Col., company that operates the voting system, has since resolved the problem.

A press release sent out by the county Tuesday to announce the fix to the problem includes a link to a map displaying polling locations that would be most convenient for a voter, depending on the voter’s location.

The map provides locations of polling stations based on GPS technology, along with driving directions.

The announcement reminded voters to bring their voting cards along with identification to their polling locations.

The polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, which is election day.
