BELLEVILLE – Save a life and get a free cookie.

The Canadian Blood Services will be hoping to collect 72 units of blood from Loyalist College students on Friday.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. the clinic in the school gymnasium will be open to all student and staff of the college.

In order to be eligible to donate you must be in good general health, feeling well and able to perform your usual activities.

If have recently traveled to a country with a high risk of malaria, or have a new tattoo or piercing within the last six months you will not be able to give blood.

You must also be at least 17 years old to give blood.

Cookies and beverages will be offered to students and staff to ensure high blood sugar levels all throughout appointments.

More to come.
