Canadian Pacific Holiday Train stops in Belleville

  • December 3, 2014 at 2:49 pm

BELLEVILLE – The CP Holiday Train made its annual stop in Belleville on Saturday, raising $7,000 for the Gleaners Food Bank.

The large crowd was entertained by singer-guitarist Roxanne Potvin and band Odds, who performed half-hour shows.

Volunteers from Gleaners served hot chocolate and gave out candy while they collected donations of non-perishable food.

The train also stopped at RCAF Road in Quinte West and helped the Trenton Care and Share Food Bank.

The CP Holiday Train is North America’s longest rolling food bank fundraiser and has raised close to $9.5 million since the program started in 1999.
