BELLEVILLE – A 16-year-old Quinte West boy is missing, Northumberland OPP said Tuesday.

Robert Kummer is described as white, five feet 11 inches tall and about 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Kummer ran away from his home in the Bayside area of Quinte West on Nov. 18, police said. He was last seen on that date in the Warkworth area of eastern Northumberland County, when he ran away from authorities.

He was with another teenager who is also now missing, police said. The second teenager is 15-year-old Jenna Ransom of the Warkworth area, Const. Steve Bates told QNet News Tuesday.

Police say they believe that the two missing teens are not now travelling together. Bates declined to comment when asked why police believe that, saying it is part of the investigation.

Police say that they and Kummer’s family are concerned for his well-being. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northumberland OPP at 905-372-5421 or toll free at 1-888-310-1122.
