Suspicious activity at Belleville hospital

By Jennifer Bowman

A lockdown at Belleville General Hospital has been lifted.

The hospital was put under lockdown earlier this morning because of some suspicious activity in the parking lot.

Belleville police forensic unit is now investigating the contents of a green Pontiac van. The van has a large hole in the passenger side window and the windshield is covered in a yellow tarp.

Police are not releasing the cause for the lockdown or any details about the van. They will be releasing more details later today.
