Helvig’s outstanding play leads to a Frontenacs win

PETERBOROUGH – The  Peterborough Petes finished up a weekend series against the rival Kingston Frontenacs with their second loss in as many nights Saturday.

On Friday night in Kingston, the Frontenacs scored five unanswered goals and picked up a 6-2 win. They got their second win Saturday at the Peterborough Memorial Centre, riding Jeremy Helvig’s outstanding play in net to squeeze out a 4-3 win.

Peterborough’s next game: Thursday vs. Mississauga

Kingston’s next game: Friday vs Oshawa
