Two Trenton men hospitalized after serious crash in Bayside

Two Trenton men are in the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries following an accident on Highway 2 in Bayside.

An eastbound van and a westbound car collided on the highway around 1:35 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Twenty-two firefighters from Quinte West Station Three and Four attended.

Firefighters had to use two sets of jaws of life to extricate the drivers from of their vehicles. Both men were taken to the Trenton Memorial Hospital.

Highway 2, just east of CFB Trenton, was down to two lanes for several hours Tuesday afternoon.
