Horse dies in Centre Hastings collision

BELLEVILLE – A horse died after colliding with an SUV in Centre Hastings on Friday.

OPP say the accident happened on Highway 62 near Ridge Road, where a northbound horse and buggy was struck by the southbound SUV.

The 14-year-old male driver of the buggy was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the horse died at the scene. The front of the SUV was significantly damaged.

The investigation is ongoing.
