Man charged in Bloomfield death

A 53-year-old man has been charged with Quinte’s first homicide of 2012.

Prince Edward OPP were called to a Stanley Street home in Bloomfield in the early morning hours of May 1st where a 46-year-old man was found dead inside the home.

As a result, an unnamed 53-year-old man was arrested at the residence. He is currently in police custody. His charges are unknown.

The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next-of-kin.

The investigation into the death is continuing.
