Annual marathon brings road closures to the Prince Edward County Sunday

BELLEVILLE – Drivers will be temporarily redirected on Sunday due to the 14th annual County Marathon, a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

Throughout the day, four different roads will be closed between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

• County Road 33 from Wellington to Bloomfield will be closed from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
• County Road 12 from Bloomfield to Sandbanks will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
• County Road 10 and 11 will be closed from Picton to Sandbanks from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
• Picton Main Street from Lake Street to Crystal Palace from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Detours will be available for drivers during this time.
