By Syerra Turry

BELLEVILLE – Police say a man was caught stealing from two donation boxes from a downtown business in Quinte West on Oct. 29.

The man was captured on a surveillance camera taking money from a Children’s Miracle Network donation box as well as a poppy donation box at the same location.

The man was charged after someone who works for the OPP recognized him from images that were shared among the police.

He was arrested and charged with theft under $5, 000 and released on a promise to appear in court in Belleville on Dec. 20.
