  • November 8, 2018 at 2:54 pm

By Syerra Turry

BELLEVILLE – A man was arrested Tuesday after two pharmacies reported fraudulent Oxycodone prescription requests in Northumberland County, police say.

A Pickering man dropped off the prescription for an undisclosed amount of Oxycodone at the pharmacies and said he would them up the next day, Northumberland OPP reported Thursday.

On Tuesday, OPP street-crime units from Peterborough and Northumberland, as well as Northumberland OPP officers, arrested and charged a 31-year-old man with two counts of attempting to use a forged document.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Cobourg on Dec. 19.
