New manufacturing jobs coming to Belleville

  • November 14, 2013 at 11:27 am

By Jack Carver

BELLEVILLE – Belleville can expect to see 10 new manufacturing jobs in the near future.

Sigma Stretch Film of Canada Co. is adding those jobs and retaining 123 existing ones in town, it announced at a press conference this morning.

The company manufactures stretch films that are used to secure goods on pallets and wrap hay bales.

It is adding a production line that the company says will increase capacity and support expansion into new markets.

The Ontario government is providing a grant of $235,700 toward the project.
