Build Belleville public meeting rescheduled

  • February 11, 2014 at 3:29 pm

By Jack Carver

BELLEVILLE – The Build Belleville Downtown Revitalization project meeting has been rescheduled for Feb. 19.

Heavy snow forced the original meeting on Feb. 5 to be rescheduled.

The goal of the Build Belleville project is to improve the downtown core by putting money into areas needing repairs and improvements.

These include $20 million for a new police station and $18 million just for the downtown area.

The open house will include presentations of the preliminary designs for the project with the main presentation at 7 p.m.

People are encouraged to come in between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The public meeting will be held at the Build Belleville Project Centre at 116 Pinnacle St. and residents are encouraged to attend.
