By Michelle Poirier

BELLEVILLE – A three vehicle collision occurred on Highway 37 Thursday morning that ended with one driver being transported to the hospital with minor injuries and one driver being charged with careless driving.

The OPP responded to the collision at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 37 and Blessington Rd.

In a news release, police say the three vehicles were slowing to stop at a red light when the vehicle in behind, a pickup truck, rear-ended a mini-van which then bumped into another mini-van in the front.

The driver of the pick up truck is a 20-year-old woman from Plainfield. She’s been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
