Hit-and-run accident sends man to hospital

BELLEVILLE – Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Belleville that sent a man to Belleville General Hospital.

The Belleville Police received a report Monday afternoon of a two-car collision at the corner of MacDonald Avenue and Russell Street. The vehicle had fled before police arrived.

Police are looking for a white or light grey Dodge Ram pickup and a male driver in his 20s. The vehicle was seen fleeing toward Station Street.

The driver who was hit was taken to hospital. His injuries were not serious, Insp. Chris Barry told QNet News.
