BELLEVILLE – Hasbro Toys is facing backlash after producing a Star Wars-themed Monopoly game without featuring the franchise’s new heroine, Rey.

The game was released this year and features many new characters from The Force Awakens, the new instalment in the movie series, as well as old favourites such as Darth Vader.

Star Wars fans have expressed their outrage at Hasbro. They are using the hashtag #WheresRey on social media.

QNet News reporter Tara Henley interviewed Loyalist College students and the owner of the Belleville shop Scalliwag Toys to get their opinions on Hasbro’s decision. Here’s her story.
