BELLEVILLE – Each week, children read to a volunteer and a dog as part of the Paws for Reading program at the Belleville Public Library.

The program is designed to help kids gain confidence in their reading and help pique their interest in literature.

Julie Empey and her dog Charlie were at the Library on Feb. 14.
