OPP ask for public’s help in finding federal offender

BELLEVILLE – The OPP’s  Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is requesting the public’s help in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Ryan Hamelin breached his long term supervision order and is serving a sentence for criminal harassment.

He is described as a 36 year-old white male, 5’8″, 170 lbs, and has hazel eyes, brown hair and is heavily tattooed.

Hamelin is known to frequent Barrie and the Greater Toronto Area. Police believe he also may flee to Alberta.

Anyone having contact with him or has information in regards to his whereabouts is asked to contact the provincial ROPE squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-ROPE (7673) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or call 9-1-1.
