Man ditches vehicle after accident

BELLEVILLE – Police were called to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Bridge and Coleman streets. on Jan. 12.

Upon investigation the police determined that one vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle. The driver from the second vehicle fled the scene.

Police located the 30 year-old male from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory shortly after.

The man is charged with driving without a license and failing to remain at the scene of a collision. He was released with the intention of appearing in front of Belleville Provincial Court in March.
