Snow causes two-vehicle collision in Central Hastings

  • March 4, 2015 at 1:15 pm

By Sean McIntosh

BELLEVILLE – Snow covered roads are being blamed for a two-vehicle collision on Highway 62 near Hollowview Road in Centre Hastings Tuesday afternoon, OPP said Wednesday.

A northbound car rear-ended an SUV that had stopped for a school bus at 3:15 p.m..

OPP Community-services officer Const. Alana Deubel says people need to be more careful in the current weather.

“Snowfall and blowing snow, and the common weather we’ve been encountering this winter, does affect the driving conditions,” she said. “That’s why we’re always reminding people to adjust their speed and be prepared for varying weather conditions.”

No charges were laid as a result of the collision and no injuries were reported.
