Belleville welcomes Ron Gignac as the new chief of police

BELLEVILLE – The new year began with a new chief of police for the Belleville police department.

Ron Gignac was sworn-in as the chief of police on Jan. 12 at the courthouse in Belleville.

He has been with the Belleville police department since June, 2015 where he held the position of deputy chief.

QNet News will be talking with Gignac on Wednesday to discuss his plans for the department’s future.
