Belleville man charged with impaired driving

BELLEVILLE –  A 44-year-old Belleville man was charged with impaired driving on Saturday night after someone reported he was driving erratically.

Central Hastings OPP say they responded to a citizen who reported the incident. Police say shortly the call was made they stopped a pickup truck heading south on 62 Highway near Bannockburn.

Police say he was over the legal alcohol blood limit.

His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He will appear in court in Belleville on February 14, 2019.
